On Monday evening, along with my good friend and colleague Jane Gunn, I had the great pleasure and honour to accept an award on behalf of my beloved speaking association. I put in an application for PSAUKI to be recognised for the volunteer work our members do. We were shortlisted by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development - affectionately known as The CIPD.
CIPD is a professional association in human resource management and there's a tremendous synergy across the two organisations. 2015 will find me exploring new ways to develop this emerging relationship.

The top PACE award was won by HR Net. I had the pleasure of sitting beside Mike Pearson from the organisation. The judging panel made a wise choice. HR Net are worthy winners.
Recognition is an act of generosity in my opinion. One that resonates with most people. In my experience, people will outperform your wildest expectations when you reward and recognise them. Who can you give a shout-out to this week? "Do it now. It is not safe to leave a generous feeling to the cooling influences of the world." Thomas Guthrie. This is powerful advice! Good Morning Gorgeous
One of my most popular keynote stories tells of The Klingon. It ends on TGIF! The story helps people to explore confidence and self-esteem. I share strategies on how to overcome issues surrounding lack of self-belief. I encourage my clients/delegates to look for the good in others... and very importantly, in themselves.
Be a good finder! Start with your mirror!
"For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others; for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness; and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone." Audrey Hepburn.

The Ted Talk
I couldn't possibly close the last edition of 2014, without my regular 'Ted' feature. Here's a Dan Pink favourite, "The Puzzle of Motivation." Listen in for illuminating stories... a confession... and the candle story. It might turn around your thinking.
Enjoy A Very Happy Christmas and A Stonking New Year!
Pass it on!
